"Is online really as good?"

How Online IGCSE Physics Classes Actually Work

What a class looks like, what you need, and why it works well for IGCSE Physics. No commute, just focused 1-to-1 teaching.

Inside a 90-Minute Class

First 10 minutes. Homework review. The tutor's already marked it and opens with the two or three errors costing the most marks.

The middle hour. Teaching on the whiteboard, through worked 0625 questions. Your child does the working; the tutor fixes the setting-out live, line by line. This builds the method marks.

Last 20 minutes. Timed exam questions, marked together against the real mark scheme. Homework set. Notes sent that evening.

Why Online Works for Physics

No Klang Valley traffic, so 7pm is 90 minutes of teaching, not an hour on the LDP first. A tutor in PJ can teach a student in Kuching, so your child gets the best-matched specialist, not the nearest one.

Practical Questions, Straight Answers

What platform and tools do you use?
Zoom or Google Meet plus a shared whiteboard. Your child sees the working appear live, writes on the same board, and keeps the file. A laptop or tablet does it. A stylus helps but isn't needed.
Do you set and mark homework?
Yes. Every class ends with homework, and the tutor marks it before the next lesson, opening with the errors costing the most marks.
Can you teach the practical skills online?
Paper 6 is a written paper about experiments: tables, graphs, precision, error spotting. It teaches beautifully on a whiteboard. For Paper 5, the school runs the lab and we drill the marks behind it. Our Paper 6 guide.
What internet speed do we need?
Any home fibre (30 Mbps up) is plenty. Unifi, Maxis, TIME all work fine. If a connection drops, we make up the time. You never lose paid minutes.
