RM80/hr · 1.5-hour classes · No travel, no forms

Written by IGCSEPhysics Specialist Team · Checked against the Cambridge IGCSE Physics (0625) syllabus · Updated

If your child sits Cambridge IGCSE Physics (0625) anywhere in Malaysia, we can teach them. Every class is 1-to-1, fully online, and led by a specialist Physics tutor. Lessons cost RM80 per hour and run for 1.5 hours. Before you pay anything, your child gets a free 1-hour trial: a real taught lesson, not a sales call.

Who is this for?

Three groups of Malaysian families search for IGCSE Physics help. First, students at international schools such as Garden International School, Alice Smith, Tenby, Marlborough College Malaysia and Uplands, plus dozens of other Cambridge schools nationwide. Second, homeschoolers and private candidates who register for 0625 through the British Council or a private exam centre. Third, families outside the Klang Valley (in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching or Kota Kinabalu) where specialist Physics tutors are hard to find locally.

All three get the same service. Founder Rig has taught IGCSE students for more than 8 years and handpicks every Physics tutor himself. He also manages the matching personally, so your child is paired with a tutor who suits their level, target grade and exam session.

Does online tutoring actually work for Physics?

Yes, and for 0625 it often works better than in-person classes. Physics marks come from method: equation, substitution, rearrangement, answer with unit. A shared digital whiteboard makes every line of that working visible and saveable. Your child keeps a written record of every worked example, which becomes revision material before the exam.

There is a second advantage. Online removes geography from tutor matching. A strong Physics specialist in Kuala Lumpur can teach a student in Miri at 8 pm without anyone sitting in traffic. Malaysia has one time zone, so a single schedule works from Perlis to Sabah.

What does the syllabus coverage look like?

We teach the full 0625 syllabus: motion, forces and energy; thermal physics; waves; electricity and magnetism; nuclear physics; and space physics. Tutors separate Core from Extended content clearly, because Core candidates can score grades C to G while Extended opens A* to E. We drill past papers by topic, using the variant 2 papers most Malaysian centres sit, and teach mark-scheme habits such as quoting g = 9.8 N/kg unless the paper states 10 N/kg.

Worried that one weekly class is not enough? Most students need exactly that: 1.5 focused hours with homework set between lessons. Parents who want a faster push before the May/June or October/November session can add a second weekly slot.

We cover every city and state

This page is the national hub. We also work daily with students in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Cheras, Cyberjaya, Puchong, Shah Alam, Johor Bahru, Iskandar Puteri, Penang, Ipoh, Seremban, Melaka, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. If your town is not on that list, nothing changes: you need only a laptop and a stable connection.

How the free trial works

Message us on WhatsApp with your child’s school or exam centre, current grade and exam session. Rig matches a suitable tutor, usually within a few days. Your child then takes a free 1-hour lesson on a real syllabus topic. You watch how the tutor explains, then decide. There is no obligation and no payment before the trial.

Questions From Malaysian Families

Do you teach students in every Malaysian state?
Yes. Classes run fully online, so a student in Kuantan, Kuching or Kota Kinabalu gets the same specialist tutor as one in Kuala Lumpur. All of Malaysia shares one time zone, so scheduling is simple.
Can private candidates in Malaysia join your classes?
Yes. Many of our students are homeschoolers or private candidates who register for Cambridge IGCSE 0625 through the British Council or an approved exam centre. We help them follow the full syllabus, not just school homework.
Which IGCSE Physics syllabus and paper variant do you prepare students for?
Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625, both Core and Extended. Malaysian centres usually sit variant 2 papers. Your tutor builds past-paper practice around the variant your school or exam centre uses.
